Do not use an old calming layout as a route promise
The Mount Royal review recommends removing temporary traffic calming at 23rd Street and Montreal Avenue after yield directions changed as part of the Blairmore Bikeway. It treats 29th Street bus-route intersections separately.

A vehicle-shopping plan for Mount Royal
That history is a reminder to plan with present controls, particularly when replacing a familiar car with an unfamiliar one. Identify the current lawful approach for your journey before comparing a route. While parked, make sure the driver can see and use the mirrors and controls comfortably; do not treat a historic removal recommendation as proof of today's layout.
- Check the exact 23rd/Montreal approach rather than copying an old diagram.
- Keep cyclist space out of vehicle waiting and turning plans.
- Choose a dealer-agreed route that lets you assess ordinary driving without searching for shortcuts.
